The Neighbourhood Team - what do they do?

Who are the Neighbourhood Team?

The Neighbourhood Team has eight members, who work closely with tenants - allocating empty properties and working with all tenancy management cases. 

Each Neighbourhood Officer covers a particular area. You can find out who this by looking under your local 'Neighbourhood Plans'.

What do the Team do?

  • Allocate empty properties working with Cheshire Homechoice.
  • Attend all viewings with new tenants and monitor new tenancies for 12 months.
  • Deal with all Housing Management tasks.
  • Deal with low level ASB, end of tenancies, abandonments, tenancy fraud, successions, emergency decants, mutual exchanges, managed moves and downsizing.
  • Supporting other teams at the Trust with their programmes.
  • Linking in with social workers, community groups and the police and fire services.
  • Hosting 'housing surgery’s' each month in local communities.
  • Hosting 'Roadshows' each month across different areas.
  • Assisting in sustaining tenancies.
