When we receive your report, we will make contact with you to agree the next step. We will do this in: 

• Within 1 working day for high risk incidents. 
• 5 working days for medium risk.

We will complete an 'action plan' with you, agreeing the next steps and a timescale, making sure to keep you informed of progress.

We deal with all cases in a sensitive and confidential manner, however there are times when we have a duty to share information. This will always be discussed with you.

In most cases, legal action is not necessary and with our interventions we bring cases to a satisfactory outcome. Legal action is considered to be a last resort.
