ANPR parking monitoring consultation
As a result of the high cost of repairing and maintaining the automated gates at Range Court and Pennine Court we are now consulting with all residents to install an ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) system.
ANPR parking monitoring introduction
The process will include collecting and storing vehicle registrations of all residents who wish to use the car park. A ‘touch screen’ (similar to some supermarket car parks) will be installed on the ground floor to allow visitors to enter their vehicle registration number. This will ensure the only people entering their registration number are visiting the building.
Any vehicles not on the database will receive a parking fine from the provider. There will be signs installed in the car park informing all users of the system.
There will be no charge for this service, and the Trust will not be making any money from the process. The process will be managed by an external company, they will enforce the parking, issue tickets and collect any fines. They will not store personal details (aside from name, address and vehicle registration number) and will only request information from the DVLA when they need to issue a ticket. The Trust has no jurisdiction to obtain the registered keeper details for any vehicle.
In summary:
- ANPR parking monitoring will be introduced at both blocks to manage parking.
- All residents will be asked to provide vehicle registration details
- Visitors will be able to type in their registration when they visit, this includes carers.
- There will be no cost to the residents or to the Trust for this service.
