UK Safe Spaces: if you are experiencing domestic abuse
UK safe spaces
UK Safe Spaces is a national scheme that enables members of the public to identify nearby locations where support is available when they feel unsafe, distressed, or at risk. The scheme is free to use and accessible through an online location map, allowing individuals to find participating venues within a short distance.
The service is designed to complement existing community safety measures by offering immediate, practical reassurance in everyday locations.
UK Safe Spaces provides access to supportive locations for people experiencing domestic abuse. Use of a Safe Space does not require formal reporting or disclosure. The focus is on providing a calm, supportive environment where individuals can pause, consider next steps, and access further help if required.
