Make sure you Charge Safe

E-scooters can be a real fire hazard. Find out how you can keep yourself safe when you own, store or charge an e-scooter
During the past week, two UK homes have been destroyed and two dogs were killed in e-bike and e-scooter fires.
Make sure you #ChargeSafe

How to keep yourself safe:

  • Always use the charger that came with your e-scooter.
  • If you need to buy a replacement, always choose a branded, genuine product from a supplier you can trust.
  • Avoid storing, using or charging batteries at very high or low temperatures.
  • Don’t overload your sockets.
  • Never leave a charger plugged in overnight or unattended
  • Keep e-bikes/e-scooters out of escape routes. Ideally, store them in a garage or shed.
