Paying my rent

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to pay your rent and service charges. Let's make it one less thing on your to-do list.

Rent is due each week and is charged to your account on a Monday.

You can choose to pay your rent weekly, fortnightly, four weekly or monthly, but in all cases you will need to pay in advance.

As a customer it is your responsibility to ensure your rent gets paid on time. To find out about other methods of payment go to: Ways to pay my rent.

Paying your rent monthly

If you pay your rent monthly, you still need to pay the same amount each month – even if there are non-charging weeks. This is because the Trust calculates your total annual rent (including non-charging weeks) and divides this by 12 months* so that you make a regular monthly payment.

For example, if you decide to pay your rent monthly at the start of the year, we calculate this:

Rent at £110.00 per week X 48 chargeable weeks = £5,280

This means that £440 is payable in advance each month. So, you pay the same amount each month because non-charging weeks are included in how we calculate your rent payments.

*The months that we divide your rent by depends on how many months are left in the year when you decide to pay monthly. If you have any questions about this process, get in touch with us via trust@peaksplains.org.

If you have 4 non-charging weeks

The non-charging weeks from April 2024 to March 2025 are:

  • 1st April 2024
  • 23rd December 2024
  • 30th December 2024
  • 31st March 2025

If you have 5 non-charging weeks

  • 1st April 2024
  • 23rd December 2024
  • 30th December 2024
  • 24th March 2025
  • 31st March 2025

If you pay your rent monthly, this does not mean that you can pay less rent at Christmas or Easter.

If you owe us rent you must continue to make extra payments as agreed as normal during ‘non-charging’ weeks.
